How do I upload logos (images)?

You can upload logos (or any other images) to embossier.com, store them there, and order items with that logo printed on them. Uploading refers to the process of copying a file residing on your computer onto the embossier.com Web site.

Key points:

  • Only your store has access to files you upload. Nobody else can see it or print it.
  • You can have a maximum of 20 logos stored on embossier.com at one time.
  • You can delete logos that you have previously uploaded to make room for new ones.
  • A logo file you wish to upload must:
    • Be in the Encapsulated PostScript (.eps) format
    • Not have an embedded or linked raster image preview
    • Be of size 4 Megabytes or smaller
    • Have had any fonts already converted to outlines (lines & curves)
    • Have been created by a graphics program such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw
  • Once your file is uploaded, you can store it on the embossier.com site for as long as you wish and order as many different items as you wish with that logo printed on them.
  • When you order an item containing an uploaded logo, you can view a preview of the item with the logo and any other personalization before you place the order. Note that the preview will be of lower quality that the actual printed item due to the nature of the Web and computer monitors.

To upload a logo to the embossier.com site, perform the following actions:

  1. Click on the My Logo Library link on the left side of the page. The resulting page can contain two sections
    • An Upload Image File section that allows you to choose a file on your computer and upload it to the embossier.com site. Note that if you already have 20 images stored on the embossier.com site, this section will not appear. You will have to delete one or more images from the embossier.com site first, as described below.
    • A Your Existing Uploaded Images section, which shows all of the images you have already uploaded to the embossier.com site. If you finished ordering items containing one of these images, you can delete it by clicking on the Delete link to the left of the image. Note that if you have not yet uploaded any images to he embossier.com site, then this section will not appear.
  2. Click on the Browse... button in the Upload Image File section. Note that, depending on your browser, this button might be called Choose or Choose File. Once you click that button, a window appears that lets you navigate the file system on your computer in the usual manner to locate the file you wish to upload. Once you have found the file and highlighted it, click the Open button. That will close the navigation window and place the full path name of the file into the Send this file text box.
  3. You can optionally enter a short description of the file in the Description text box. This can help you distinguish among similar looking images.
  4. Click the Upload File button to start the upload. Depending on the size of the image and your Internet connection, the upload may take a while to complete. When it does complete, you will see an indication of whether the file was successfully uploaded. Also, the new image will appear in the Your Existing Uploaded Images section if it was uploaded successfully.

What are Held Orders?

embossier.com allows retailers to place orders into a holding area called Held Orders for later submission. Orders remain there until any of the following occur:

  • You submit the order, either by itself, or combined with other orders.
  • You decide not to submit that order and delete it from the holding area.
  • The order has remained in Held Orders for more than 90 days, when it is automatically removed.

Orders remain there even if you log out and come back later.

All embossier.com retailers may submit orders in two ways.

  • Option #1: Submit each order as soon as it is entered.
  • Option #2: Hold and save each order as it is entered. Review, edit, and submit these held orders after all orders are entered.

Orders can be held for up to 90 days from the date of initial entry. This option allows you to perform one credit card transaction that covers multiple orders. Also, this option can lessen shipping charges by combining multiple orders to the same location by the same shipping method into one shipment.
